More about Olympus Chrome Six II

Reading from the detail article on Olympus Chrome Six (I/II/III) on Camerapedia.org, I realized that this camera that I own is made in 1950. That's 60 good long years!! After testing a couple of rolls, this camera is still functions beautifully. I will put it to good use, and I believe it will continue to serve (me or others) many years after I died. That's how amazing is camera made then, unlike the new electronic cameras (in general).

The leather case carries the logo "Olympus OIC" (オリンパス光学工業㈱, meaning Olympus Optical Industrial Co., Ltd. More on Olympus Corporate history here)

Just a side note, all images are taken with a simple table lamp setup, no flash. Olympus E-PL1 (Micro43 camera) and the M.Zuiko 14-42 kit lens did very well here, great white balance and high iso performance here.

thanks for viewing.
